Event: Savera UK Evaluation Launch

Time: 1pm-3:30pm
Location: Zoom Webinar (link to follow)

This event is to launch the findings of Savera UK’s three year one-to-one Support Project, funded by the National Lottery Fund (Women and girls Initiative).
The evaluation has been completed independently by Jackie Patiniotis, Researcher, Project Evaluator and lecturer in gender inequalities and violence against women and girls.
The aim of the evaluation was to assess the quality and impact of the support project. The project offered a one-to-one service to women from BME communities who experienced ‘honour’-based abuse, harmful practices and domestic abuse, as well as engagement with young people in schools to raise awareness.
Savera UK is a registered leading specialist organisation, established in 2010, providing services to anyone at risk of honour based abuse and harmful practices including forced marriage and female genital mutilation. The current geographical area of the face-to-face support provided is within Merseyside and Cheshire due to funding availability and the Savera UK helpline is available to anyone across the UK.
What makes this event even more special is that Savera UK is celebrating its ten year anniversary this year and we would be delighted to have you join our yearlong celebration.
Registration for this event is free but any donations are gratefully received. Registration is essential. A full itinerary and password protected link to the webinar will be provided ahead of the event.
